We handled community relations for the five-mile outfall renovation project. During renovation, treated wastewater was discharged four miles closer to shore in shallower waters than normal.

We led the community outreach task to create the Stormwater Capture Master Plan. The goal of this master plan is to build infrastructure in developed communities expected to capture stormwater for the local water supply so 20 percent of the City’s water portfolio will be local.

We helped the City of Santa Monica to implement a pilot project using social marketing tactics to get residents to change behaviors – use public transportation, walk or bike for lifestyle trips in lieu of taking single driver car trips.

We led the community outreach and public participation for the environmental clearance of a new 54-inch sewer main. Permitting was required at the challenging and complex local, regional and state levels. We are coordinating construction outreach during the construction phase with an expected completion date of 2020.

We led the public participation effort for the Regional 1st/Central Station Improvement Project, an urban rail system that will connect the various bus and rail lines in downtown Los Angeles and bring much desired uses and amenities connecting this rail station to a growing, thriving urban neighborhood.
